Kiwanis tournament raises scholarships

The 10th Annual Cathlamet Kiwanis Golf Tournament July 11 at Skyline Golf Course raised around $2,000 for local youth, a club member reported this week.

Seven teams competed in the scramble tournament.

The winning team was Team 5, Cole Claussen, Justin McClain, Andrew Weiler and Kamry Tapani.

Placing second was Team 3, James Baker, Josh Watilo, Brooke Johnson and Chris Delriccio.

Tying for third place were Team 1, David Goodroe, Richard Erickson, Steve Anderson and Tony Harmon, and Team 2, Taylor Kissinger, Wade Crondin, Danny Mjelde and Gary Weaver.

Winning the long drive contests were Joan Wren, women, and Nick Vavoudis, men.

Winning the closest to the pin honors were Marilyn Conway, women, and Don Conway, men.
