What's Happening at the Fair?

Get ready, as the 2009 Premium Book will be distributed next week!

That’s right, the wait is finally over and the new and improved premium book will soon be coming your way. For this year I’ve developed a new style, simplifying the scoring, making it easier to navigate. If you have any questions about an entry please contact the appropriate superintendent, or the fair office.

Fair Season Passes are here! Contact your local princess or call the fair office to reserve your pass. A steal at only $6, take advantage of this bargain price before it’s too late.

As of July 1, the fair office will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you need to access the fairgrounds outside of the office hours, please contact the office to schedule an appointment.

To those who attended last Sunday’s BBQ picnic held by the non-profit arm of the fair, the Wahkiakum Fair Association, thank you for your support. With the removal of county funding in 2010, the Fair Association is working hard to raise funds and increase awareness, ensuring the continuation of our historic fair. Without community support the fair will cease to exist, so if you have a fund raising idea or would like to become involved, please get in touch.

Calling all volunteers! Do you know someone with extra time on their hands? Do you need to complete your community service hours? The fair always needs volunteers but we also offer community service programs. If you have some time to kill or need to work some time off, give us a call.
