4-H Camp Morehead will be held on the Long Beach Peninsula at Nahcotta July 19-24. It is open to 4-H members who are in the 3rd grade and eight years old. If you would like more information, please contact the Extension office.
If you missed the Job Skills Workshop we are holding another one on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop will cover resume building, filling out job applications and interviewing techniques. Call the Extension office at 795-3278 to reserve your space.
The Wahkiakum County Fair will celebrate its 101st year this August. Now is the time to get those pictures, flowers, baked goods, canning and sewing projects ready. The Fair Premium Book will be out in July and animal pre-entries are due July 29.
The After School 4-H Tech Club is getting ready for its second Family Movie Night; watch for flyers out soon.
The Friends of Extension are preparing for the second annual Columbia River Country Days on October 2-3. This year we are looking at an afternoon picnic venue as well as an evening dinner. If you would like to be involved and support WSU Extension, contact the office in Cathlamet.
We are working on a series of short term day camps –one of the areas would be a quilting day camp. If you have a skill you would like to share with young people this summer please call the WSU Extension office.
