A Long Beach man died April 16 when the recyling truck he was driving ran off SR 101.
The driver was Brian Keith Shaffer, 36, of Long Beach. He was driving a 1995 recycling truck. He was wearing a seatbelt.
The accident occurred at 1:59 p.m. 12 miles northwest of Naselle.
According to a report from the Washington State Patrol, the truck was southbound and ran off the road when the front right tire blew out. The truck went off the right hand shoulder, struck several trees, which pinned the driver in the cab, and came to rest on a stump.
