Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The Lower Columbia Economic Development Council (LCEDC) is the recipient of a grant from the Washington State Microenterprise Association to sponsor a county wide business fair.
The event is an opportunity for business people to meet with their peers, attend training sessions, and learn ways to help thrive in the current economic climate.
The day long fair is scheduled for April 18, and is open to the public. There will be breakout sessions on marketing and finance, a relevant keynote speaker, facilitated round table networking sessions and information will be provided to stimulate the formation of entrepreneur clubs, which have proved to be an effective way for rural small businesses to provide support for each other.
This is the second grant that the LCEDC has received from WSMA to help serve the needs of business owners and entrepreneurs. Anyone with a business, or those planning to start a new business should plan to attend. Additional information will be sent out to the community as the date of the event approaches. For more information, contact the LCEDC at 795-3996 or e-mail lcedc@cni.net.
