Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Join your friends and neighbors for a night of traditional American folk music and dancing presented by Grays River and Skamokawa Granges on March 6 at the Skamokawa Grange Hall, from 7-10 p.m.
Paul Silveria will call circle and square dances with musicians Caitilin Daum on fiddle and banjo player Curt Alsobrook providing the lively music. There will also be several reels, waltzes and a two-step or two. These Portland performers are part of a revival of the old-time country dance-- all in the community are welcome: singles, couples, even the kids and dogs! All dances are taught and easy to learn.
The Granges will host a refreshment and dessert table with homemade pies and cookie plates available.
The event is a fundraiser for the Skamokawa and Grays River Grange building funds. Admission is $8 for adults, kids under 12 free.
Skamokawa Grange is located within sight of SR4. Turn north on Skamokawa Valley Road at the bridge, then a left onto Fairgrounds Road .
