Chamber plans crab feed, other events

Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Hanigan said volunteers are still needed for the Crab and Oyster feed on March 14. Interested parties should contact Bob Garrett as soon as possible at 795-3971 or 795-6419.

Tickets are still available for the feed, but are going fast. They are available at Bank of the Pacific in Cathlamet, or contact Penny Paulsen at 795-3228.

The chamber office has moved to the front of the Scarborough Building. It is all set up with the displays, Hanigan said. “Stop by if you get a chance.”

Beginning March 1, the Wahkiakum Family Practice Clinic will have expanded hours. They will now be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will not close for the lunch hour. Clinic Advisory Board Member Sandi Rieder said it should increase access to the clinic for those who can only go at lunch or need late appointments.

Chamber Member Carrie Kennedy reminded the board the annual pie social will be held in the lobby of the Hotel Cathlamet on February 20 beginning at 1 p.m. All proceeds will benefit 4-H.

Next month, planning will begin for this year’s Bald Eagle Festival. Interested vendors should contact the Chamber as soon as possible.
