What's Happening at the Fair?

This week the cleanup crew has made great progress, painting the Grange Food Booth from floor to ceiling. Our power washer has been winning the battle with most paths mud free. The park area has seen a great improvement as we start to utilize the new space created by volunteers Ray Badger and John Luthi last year. With Donaldson Construction working on the Horse Barn roof repairs and the Commercial Building work starting on Friday, we are right on schedule.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the annual Valentine Diamond Dinner happening next Saturday, 14th at the Grange Hall in Skamokawa. Dinner kicks off at 6pm with a delicious bacon wrapped filet-mignon, steaming baked potato, crisp green salad, and decadent desert.

After dinner sit back and enjoy the very talented Sunrise Fletcher as he and his musical friends serenade you and your loved one. Seating is limited to 150 so grab your tickets today.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Bank of the Pacific, Lower Columbia Realty or Trillium Books. You can also call the fair office on 795 3480 or purchase your tickets through fair board members Martha Backman, Blair Brady, Gregg Carlson, Bill Coons, Patty Dursteler or Susan Patterson.

This year we have some amazing raffle prizes including a gorgeous diamond necklace, generously donated by Mike Mouliot. Each diner receives one ticket with their meal with additional tickets a steal at $1. All proceeds benefit the fair with 10 percent donated to the WSU extension.

So if you’re looking for a unique evening of wonderful food and fantastic entertainment, look no further, buy your tickets for the Valentine Diamond Dinner today.
