What's happening at the Fair?

It’s been a chilly week but that hasn’t stopped us pushing forward with the flood cleanup down at the fairgrounds. We have an excellent crew and are determined to restore the fairgrounds back to its former glory. I must say a big thank you to the county commissioners who have been very supportive.

Work will soon start on the clearing of the Commercial Building so things are looking very positive. There is a long road ahead but the fair board and I are committed to ensuring we have a 101st fair.

If you’re looking for something to do this Valentine’s Day why not join us for the annual Valentine’s Dinner hosted at the Skamokawa Grange Hall. Sink your teeth into bacon wrapped filet-mignon while enjoying a nice glass of wine with your sweetheart. Tickets are only $25 and include a scrumptious dinner, glass of wine and a raffle ticket.

This year we have a beautiful diamond necklace as the grand prize as well as a lovely gold bracelet, donated generously by Mike Mouliot. All proceeds benefit the fair with 10 percent donated to the WSU extension.

You can pick up your ticket at the Lower Columbia Realty office on Main Street in Cathlamet or call the fair office on 360-795-3480.
