4-Hers get opportunity to see government up close

Know Your Government is an annual opportunity for Washington youth to come together to learn hands-on from the inside what makes their government tick, and it is just around the corner.

The WSU Extension is looking for youth to represent Wahkiakum County at the annual Know Your Government conference in Olympia on February 14-17. Youth need to be in 9th-12th grades, and either enrolled in 4-H or amenable to joining 4-H to participate. Registration and lodging cost $200, but full and partial scholarships are available to all Wahkiakum youth. Scholarship requests are confidential and taken with no questions asked. Adult volunteers are also needed.
