The American Red Cross will hold a blood drawing December 16, 1-7 p.m. in the Naselle school commons.
Donors are asked to call Robert Romaine or Chris Houston at the Naselle School District at 360-484-7121 to reserve an appointment. Drop-in donors are welcome.
To be eligible to donate blood, a person must be at least 16 years of age (with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, and not have donated blood in the last 56 days.
Donors age 18 or over are eligible for a vacation trip sponsored by American Red Cross and Portland Downtown Waterfront Marriott. "Dream of Vacation? Make a Donation" will run from December 1, 2008 through January 31, 2009, in Oregon and Washington. The winner will receive a stay of six days/five nights at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina, plus a Southwest Airlines gift card valued at $750, which may be used at the winner's discretion.
Entrants may enter at any Oregon or Washington American Red Cross mobile, convenience, or fixed site location blood drive. Limit is one entry per person. American Red Cross and Marriott employees and families are not eligible. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age and a legal US citizen.
