The Wahkiakum Lady Mule volleyball won and lost in Central League action this week.
On Tuesday at league leading Toutle Lake, the Mules won the first game 25-23 but lost the next three 25-22, 25-18, 25-22.
Jordyn Wirkkala made nine kills; Shelby Deaton had seven and 17 service points. Sarah Doumit had six kills and nine service points, and Samantha Cress made seven service points.
Last Thursday, the Mules swept the Vancouver Christian Lights 25-17, 25-15, 25-15.
Doumit provided 10 kills and 13 service points; Deaton had five kills, six blocks and 13 service points, and Blaine Land had five blocks.
The Mules close the regular season today by hosting the Morton Huskies.
District tournament play starts next week. The loss to Toutle left the Mules third in league standings.
