What's happening at the Fair?

With two weeks to go the fairgrounds are in full swing preparing for this year’s 100th fair celebration. We have a lot in store and are happy to announce a new range of contests for all ages.

4-H/Open Youth Contests

Largest Cabbage Contest--Cabbage is judged by weight. Prize donated by the WSU Master Gardeners.

Best use of Zucchini--Baked goods or preservation. Prize donated by the Wahkiakum Food & Farm Network.

Foods for All Occasions using local products.

4-H Alumni Dairy Showing Contest- Entry Fee is $20. Winner takes a percentage of the pot- remainder goes to 4-H.

Adults and Youth Contest

Bob’s Red Mill Products Baking Contest. Prizes donated by Bob’s Red Mill. Contest Rules: Must use a Bob’s Red Mill Product in your fair entry. Please include a label or proof of purchase at time of entry.

Youth

1st place-- $25 cash and $25 gift card for mail order purchase.

2nd place--$15 cash and $25 gift card.

3rd place--$10 cash and $25 gift card.

Adult

1st place--$25 cash and $25 gift card for mail order purchase.

2nd place--$15 cash and $25 gift card.

3rd place--$10 cash and $25 gift card.

Flower Pot and/or Basket Arrangement Contest--This year we are inviting Adults and Youths to bring in flowers to be placed on the Fairgrounds through the duration of the fair. Containers will be judged on the arrangement of flowers and how they complement each other. You can use any container.
