Results announced for parade judging

The 27th Annual Bald Eagle Celebration brought large crowds to enjoy the sunshine, entertainment and good food last weekend.

Members of the Cathlamet Woman's Club, who organize the parade, said there were more entries than any previous parade.

The parade results are as follows:

Grand prize went to the Portland Yacht Club.

Equestrian: 1. Wahkiakum 4-H Club.

Decorated Vehicles: 1. Multnomah Yacht Club 2. USCG Auxiliary 3. tie, Wahkiakum class of 98 graduates, Lower Columbia Realty.

Marching Group: 1. Strutter’s Baton 2. Cub Scouts of Cathlamet 3. Finish-American Folk Festival.

Floats: 1. Sons of Norway Helgeland #30 2. tie, Valley Bible Church of Naselle, Longview Yacht Club 3. tie, St. James Family Center, Cathlamet Swimming Pool.

Specialized Car or Truck: 1. Wahkiakum Historical Society mini-train driven by Ray Badger. 2. Heritage Bible Church 3. Skyline Golf Course.

Antique Car or Truck: 1. American Muscle Car Club 2. 1932 Hup Mobile 3. 1944 Willy’s Military Jeep.

Log Trucks: 1. C & C Logging of Kelso 2. Claude Renfro and Sons of Cle Elum.
