St. James Family Center is looking for adults and older teens who would like to volunteer to teach a class to young people this summer.
The class is a part of the Summer Youth Adventure Program (YAP) scheduled to begin June 23 and continue through mid-August. The program offers a wide variety of mini-classes and day trips for children of all ages, including arts and crafts, cooking, science, sports and more.
Volunteers can teach either a one-time class or offer multiple classes, if they choose. The Family Center would also welcome any suggestions from community members regarding people who may have a special talent and might be contacted.
Volunteers are also need to help supervise classes. Teens are encouraged to contact the program coordinator should they want to help out.
All volunteers will be asked to fill out a criminal background check.
