The Wahkiakum Food and Farm Network and the Wahkiakum WSU Extension Service are presenting their Fourth Annual Ag Summit on April 5 at the River Street Meeting Room.
Dr. Charles "Chuck" Benbrook, scientist, author and expert on biological benefits of organic and sustainable farming will be the keynote speaker.
Dr. James Hermes, Poultry Specialist with the Oregon State University Extension Service will speak on free range poultry breeds and heritage breeds for meat and egg production.
Dr. Carol Miles, Agricultural Systems Specialist with the WSU Extension Service will talk about vegetable production systems for the family garden to small scale farms.
Registration fees are $20 per individual, $25 at the door and $35 per couple or $40 at the door.
The summit will get underway at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast and will include lunch.
