The team included five competitors: Matt Miller, Bill Gale, Jim Wilson, Tonya Mouliot and Michael Mouliot with instructor Bob Jungers.
This is the third year in a row that Miller has successfully competed in the kata (forms) division and the first year he has competed in the kumite (sparing) division at this event. For the rest of the team this was their first competition.
The team returned to Washington with four medals including Michael Mouliot's gold in kumite and bronze in kata, Tonya Mouliot's silver in kata, and Wilson's bronze in kata.
"An honorable mention goes to Matt Miller and Bill Gale who competed in large advanced divisions and did a great job," said Jungers.
