Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Inlaws & Outlaws returns to the Kelso Theatre Pub for screenings, on February 22 and 24.
The film weaves the true stories of couples and singles, both gay and straight, into a collective narrative that is at times hilarious and at other times heartbreaking. Stereotypes fall by the wayside as the film gets past rhetoric to explore what all persons have in common.
Filmmaker Drew Emery will speak at the Friday, showing, set for 8:30 p.m. A question and answer session will follow the screening for those interested in finding out more about the movie.
The Sunday matinee screening starts at 3 p.m.
General admission for both screenings is $6.
Both screenings are sponsored by Lower Columbia PFLAG (Parents, Friends and Family of Lesbians and Gays) which meets the second Sunday of each month at 5:00 p.m at St. James Family Center, 1134 Columbia Street, Cathlamet, and the second Monday of each month at the Longview United Methodist Church at 2851 30th Ave. Longview. PFLAG welcomes all to join them in efforts to make communities more inclusive and informed.
Inlaws & Outlaws previously showed at the Kelso Theatre Pub in September 2007 and had a record turnout for a Monday night show.
The Kelso Theatre Pub offers independent and mainstream movies and The Backstage Cafe serves lunch and dinner.
