Fans of the Naselle Comet football team wanting to take in this Saturday's game without driving to Bellevue may find seats on a rooter bus, Superintendent Alan Bennett announced Tuesday.
"Well, we are off to Mount Tahoma Athletic Stadium this Saturday to play Life Christian in the State Class B football championship playoffs," he said. "We have taken one of our buses that is off the depreciation schedule and made it available for the trip.
"This allows the district to make the bus available for half the normal cost. The cost is $5 per person. Students will have first option for seats. After noon on Thursday, seats will be sold to community members who wish to ride the bus. The district will send along Chris Clark, administrator in training, as a supervisor."
Bennett said people who would like to ride along and support the team should go to the high school office on Thursday afternoon and pay $5 when they sign up. Seats are on a first come-first served basis.
