Staff of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) will hold scoping meetings next week in the lower Columbia area on the proposed Bradwood Landing liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant.
NorthernStar Natural Gas proposes building a receiving terminal, gasification plant and pipeline to handle LNG at Bradwood, Ore., across the Columbia from Puget Island. FERC is handling review of the draft environmental impact statement for the project.
Meetings are scheduled:
Monday, 6:30 p.m., Clatskanie Middle/High School Auditorium, 471 SW Belair Drive, Clatskanie;
Tuesday, 9 a.m., Clatskanie River Inn-Cedar Room, 600 E. Columbia River Highway, Clatskanie;
Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., J.A. Wendt Elementary School, 265 S. 3rd Street, Cathlamet;
Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon and 6:30 to 10:00 p.m., Cowlitz County Expo and Conference Center, 1900 7th Avenue, Longview, and
Thursday, 6:30 to 10:00 p.m., Hilda Lahti Elementary School, 42535 Old Highway 30, Astoria.
FERC staff will conduct scoping meetings for the proposed Bradwood Landing LNG Project, FERC docket numbers CP06-365-000 and CP06-366-000,
All interested parties are invited to attend and present comments.
