Cathlamet FFA holds logging rodeo

The Cathlamet chapter of the National FFA Organization placed first at a logging rodeo the chapter hosted three weeks ago at Wahkiakum High School.

Male chainsaw--2. Chase Fritzie.

Male high climb--3. T. Benson 6.82; 4. Andrew Weiler 11.27.

Girls high climb--2. Moore 22.81; 3. Robbins 28.74.

Male log toss--5. Fritzie.

Female log toss--2. Moore; 3. Natasha Ford.

Male log chop--1. Mitch Moonen.

Female log chop--1. Moore.

Male match splitting--3. Fritzie; 5. Trevor Gorley.

Female match splitting--1. Moore; 2. Robbins.

Male log carry--1. T. Benson and Helms; 3. Cody Olsen and Fritzie.

Assisting the chapter in the operation of the event were Randy Oman, Brandon Olsen, B.J. Arness, Stewart and Ginger Moonen, John Doumit, Whitley and Jordyn Wirkkala, Fred Hoven, Christ Bryant, Sarah Doumit, Loren and Janine Davis, Bruce McClain, Kurt Davis, Gina Robbins and Bob Olsen.

"We would like to give a big thank you to them and others who volunteered their time," said chapter reporter Brittney Robbins. "We could not have done it without them."
