Water music to serenade Long Beach peninsula

Long Beach Peninsula will provide the setting for the upcoming Water Music Festival.

The performances will take place at venues stretching from Ilwaco to Oysterville, on October 19, 20 and 21.

Pianist Alan Hong will head up the line up with a concert on October 19 at 8 p.m. at Peninsula Baptist Church, Ocean Park. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for youth.

The Crystal Chamber Soloists, comprising of oboist Peter Christ, clarinetist Richard Gellman, violist Abigail Stoughton, flutist Tessa Brinckman, and pianist Cary Lewis will play at the Hilltop Auditorium in Ilwaco on October 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $12.50 for youth.

John Doan, a master of the rare twenty-string harp guitar, will share celtic-influenced music on Oct. 20, at 2 p.m., at the historic Oysterville Church. Advance tickets are limited to those purchasing season passes.

Willie & Lobo will offer their signature sound of ‘gypsy boogaloo’ on violin and flamenco guitar on October 21, at 2 p.m. at the Peninsula Baptist Church, Ocean Park. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for youth.

Harpist Cheri Walker will give a free performance on October 20 at 10 a.m. at the Peninsula Church Center, Seaview.

Tickets for all performances as well as season passes may be purchased online at http://www.watermusicfestival.com/pages/tickets.html. Advance sale tickets will be held at will call at the door of each performance venue. Tickets may also be purchased at the door; however, many of the performances are predicted to sell out in advance.

A season pass includes tickets for John Doan and costs $65 per adult and half that for students over age 12 with a valid student I.D. or for children under age 12 accompanied by an adult.
