The Wahkiakum Mule volleyball team picked up non-league victories over Warrenton last Thursday and Stevenson on Monday.
The Mules swept Stevenson in three games, winning 25-23, 29-27, 25-20. “The girls played phenomenal defense; they kept Stevenson off balance the whole time,” said Mule Coach Patty Anderson.
Halie Boyce connected for 15 service points and 17 assists as setter, and Sara Jespersen made 13 kills at the net. Brandi Arness, Whitley Wirkkala and Brittney Robbins all played outstanding defense, Anderson said.
The scores for the Warrenton match weren’t available.
The Mules host the Pe Ell Trojans tonight in a Central League match.
