JBH swimming pool back on target for June 18 opening

Cathlamet Mayor Richard Swart has announced that the Julia Butler Hansen Municipal Swimming Pool will be opening as originally planned on June 18.

The initial test firing of the new heating system and pool chlorinator was a great success.

Last week, he had issued a press release notifying the public that the pool opening would be delayed by two weeks due to maintenance work being performed on the Greenwood Tank reservoir. The Public Works crew was able to circumvent the water tank maintenance project in order to provide water to the pool. For more information call Pool Manager Lynnette Ledgerwood at 795-6515.
