Senior health information fair set for April 14

The Lower Columbia Healthcare Alliance is sponsoring a Senior Information Fair on April 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The fair will be located at Elder Options, 872 15th Avenue, Longview. Admission is free. All seniors and their families are invited to attend. Refreshments will be provided.

Information on medical alert systems, Medicare Part D, crime prevention programs, legal aid and many other services available to seniors in the Lower Columbia Region will be provided.

Participants will meet representatives from local businesses and service providers such as Response Link Medical Alert Systems, Crawford House, Northwest Continuum Care, Longview Police Department, CAP, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Legal Aid, Elder Options, Avamere at St. Helens, Hope and Community Services, Alzheimers Association, Community Home Health and Hospice, Monticello Park and Evergreen Healthcare.

Hearing check will be provided from Beltone; chiropractic information from Bowlby Chiropractic, and acupuncture demonstrations from Acupuncture Northwest. Blood pressure checks and blood sugar checks will also be available.

The mission of the Lower Columbia Healthcare Alliance is to establish an integrated network of healthcare providers with the goal of seamless delivery of healthcare services to the seniors of the Lower Columbia Region.
