Forum to help communities become "elder-friendly"

"How Elder-Friendly is Your Community?" is the title of a community forum on senior issues sponsored by Southwest Washington Agency on Aging and its advisory council. The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24, 10 a.m. til noon, at the River View Meeting Room in Cathlamet.

Older adults, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers are invited to share their views on the following topics: information and assistance for people seeking services for seniors; support for family caregivers and kinship caregivers; personal care services provided in the client’s home; opportunities and resources for healthy aging; transportation.

The forum is to help the Southwest Washington Agency on Aging to prepare its new strategic plan, the Area Plan 2008-2011.
