Artists win awards at Columbian Artists show

The Columbian Artists Association held another successful art show at the LCC Gallery. The show ran from March 23 to April 1.

Award winning watercolor artists, Bev Jozwiak and Vickie Nelson, both of Vancouver, Wash., were this year's judges and selected the following artists to receive awards: Best of Show, Hank Weber; Memorial Award, Bobbie Nelson; In the Oil Category: Kat Stara, Janis Newton, Linda Ropka, Vivian Sathre and Allyn Cowan. In the Watercolor Category: Linda Ropka, Marcia Tuttle, Carol Boudreau, Susan Tornow and Vivian Sathre. In the Mixed Media Category, Karen Leback, Nancy Knowles, Walt Christen, Laura Skehan and Anna King all received awards.

In addition to the judges' awards, sponsors of the show also selected the following artists for awards: Linda Ropka, Carol Boudreau, Carol Chisman, Kat Stara, Mark Dykstra, Irene Harrison, Susan Tornow and Vivian Sathre, Ray Green, Mary Hudson, Walt Christen, Patti Woods, Marcia Tuttle, Mitzi Christensen, Suzy Halverson, Janis Newton, and Ivan Clark.

People's Choice Awards, chosen by the gallery visitors, and present by the Cody Family Memorial Fund for first and second place were presented to Carol Boudreau and Susan Tornow. Third place was awarded to Allyn Cowan.
