Eighth grader Kaiden Ray, at 126 pounds, will face Tristen Wood, an eighth grader from Almira-Coulee-Hartline in his first round. The winner will take on 10th grader Cody Field of...

The Wahkiakum Mules boys basketball team won three games this week and secured sixth place in the Central 2B league. The Mules hosted Onalaska last Wednesday and won, 62-52. "Both Logan (LaBerge) and Brody (Carlson) stepped up in the fourth quarter making some clutch shots scoring 17 of our 23...

College students enrolled in an institution of higher education in Washington state could receive compensation for their athletic services, should House Bill 1084 become law. The proposed bill is sponsored by Reps. Drew Stokesbary, R-Auburn and Jesse Young, R-Gig Harbor. “It has been famously remarked that states are laboratories of democracy,” said Stokesbary at a public hearing on Jan. 23.
