The team is in fifth place in the Central 2B league and will begin district play at Lower Columbia College this weekend. Last Thursday, Wahkiakum High School hosted five schools at a Central 2B track meet, including the 1B Naselle Comets. The Naselle Comets took fourth place in boys' competition with 30 points. A Story of two nines: The Mules Golf Team had two nine hole matches scheduled as an away match at Tumwater Valley GC against Life Christian Academy thinking they could save some class time and driving time. The front nine cost the Mules their first loss of the season in a nine-hole match losing 192 to 188. The Wahkiakum Mules baseball team split games in a doubleheader last week and won one on Monday to bring their season record to 6-5 in league and 8-5 overall. April 18 was a beautiful calm day on a relatively dry Riverside golf course and the Mules used the opportunity to up their intra-conference record to 7-0 with a 179-213 score over Adna High School. The Wahkiakum Mules softball team continues to struggle, but Coach Stephanie Green is focused on the bright spots, of which there are many. On April 11, the Wahkiakum Mule golf team missed the four-man school record score of 160 by three strokes while posting a 163 at Mint Valley GC, home of Three Rivers Christian, who posted 230.
