Lawrence Ervin Jaspers, 85, of Lake Oswego, Ore., was born at home on Puget Island July 2, 1931. He was the oldest of three sons of Floyd F. Jaspers and Dorothy Shelton Jaspers. When he was young his family moved to Portland, Ore., where he attended Beaumont Elementary, Grant High School and the University of Portland. Art was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta, on September 10, 1926, to Arthur and Mabel (Floen) Bryant, then raised in Peace River and Edmonton.
