    Wahkiakum County commissioners Dan Cothren, Blair Brady and Lisa Marsyla voted 3-0 Tuesday to authorize Wahkiakum Health and Human Services to purchase a new pickup for for the mental health program's Employment Center. Clients use the vehicle for hauling wood, which they sell as firewood, and tools to sites where they do landscaping and similar work.     Several Wahkiakum Mules have been named to the Central League's all-league teams in voting by coaches. Mule linebacker Ty Bain was named defensive player of the year. Mules named to the second team defense were linebacker Jeff Vik and defensive back Joel Nicolazzi. Running back Bryce McClain and lineman Bain earned first team offense honors, and running back Zach Schneider was named to the second team offense.     Authorities say a Cathlamet man ended his night shooting another man in the stomach at the Duck Inn.     Volunteers from member churches of the Wahkiakum Interfaith Network are looking for help in presenting their third annual free Christmas dinner. For the past two years, WIN churches have offered the free dinner on Christmas Day.     The tide of illness from H1N1 (swine) flu is receding in the lower Columbia region, health officials said Tuesday. Incidence of the disease peaked in early November, said Dr. Jennifer Vines, county health officer. Wahkiakum County has been part of a regional response team that includes officials from Skamania, Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties.
