    The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is offering anglers opportunities for tight lines rather than long lines on the day after Thanksgiving. The "holiday specials" include thousands of large trout averaging 15 to 16 inches in length and weighing up to three pounds.     Dorothy Horn, a Ph.D. student at Portland State University, studies impacts of microplastics on near shore marine organisms. In her Dec. 12 Nature Matters presentation, she will discuss overall problems with marine debris, how it impacts our watersheds from upriver all the way to our coastal ecosystems and what we know so far.
