HOLDING ON--As this work weeks begins, it’s really nasty out there and depending on which weather guy is talking to you, we may be in for some really wild weather. I am writing this early just in case we wind up with no power to type or send things via the computer. The one big storm that is due has yet to arrive. I think we are all hoping it fizzles out and we don’t get the strong winds. We got some fairly strong winds Sunday night, and the coast saw up to 82 mph Monday. November 12, 2009 George R. Haataia George Robert Haataia died October 11, 2009 in Olympia, aged 71. He was born July 5, 1938 to George and Miriam Haataia in Cathlamet and graduated from Naselle High School in 1956. He was a respected survey engineer for King County and worked throughout Washington. He is survived by daughter Rachel and her husband Stephen; brothers Gilbert of Naselle and Marvin of Battle Ground; and sister Darlene of Kelso. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Margaret. Services were held in Olympia. November 5,...
