On Tuesday, the Wahkiakum County PUD Board of Commissioners began their meeting by unanimously approving the agenda, minutes and finances. Deep River American Legion Post 0111 will be serving their pancake and egg breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 9. During a public hearing on the 2025 preliminary budget, one citizen questioned the timing and allocation of proceeds from a timber harvest, which is expected to generate $170,000 to support the cumulative reserve fund.
