The Wahkiakum Mule football team closed the regular season with a 38-12 win over the Toutle Lake Ducks last Friday and emerged from a three-team tiebreaker Monday to qualify for an inter-league crossover playoff game this coming Friday. Cross Country teams from Wahkiakum and Naselle High Schools competed in the District IV 1B/2B Championship in Onalaska last Saturday. The top 35 in the boys’ race and the top 28 in the girls’ race qualified for the state meet this weekend in Pasco. There were 111 runners competing for the top 35 spots in the boys’ competition.
