    Mary Lou Riley 80, of Mountain Home, Idaho, died October 15, 2022 at her home. She was born in Wallace, Idaho to Verne and Nettie (Peterson) Dodge. On July 8, 1959 Mary Lou married Larry Riley. They moved to Cathlamet where they raised their family. She worked for many years at St. James Family Center, as a beloved teacher. She and Larry were foster parents for over 20 years. She and her husband Louie, who preceded her, resided in the Elochoman Valley for many years and loved their time here.     Commissioners of Wahkiakum Port District 2 on Tuesday went over their preliminary budget for 2023 and discussed desired improvements to the Carlton Appelo Center at Skamokawa Vista Park. The center is the former Skamokawa United Methodist Church building, which the port acquired when the congregation dissolved.     The Wahkiakum Mules volleyball team lost two games at home this week, bringing their record to 2-4 in league and 5-8 overall. Last Thursday, the Lady Mules lost to Toutle Lake at home in three sets, 26-28, 18-25, and 16-25.
