    The Wahkiakum County Historical Society board of directors has announced that public opening hours for the Wahkiakum Museum have been extended Saturdays (1-4 p.m.) through the end of September. This decision has been made following the successful reopening of the museum, subject to covid guidelines requiring masking and social distancing, on Saturdays beginning August 1.     A worship team from the Three Rivers House of Prayer of Longview visited Strong Park in Cathlamet on Saturday to pray for the community and leaders. "Jesus promised if we prayed for a city we could dwell in peace, according to 1st Timothy, Chapter 2," Nedra Rutherford said.     The nine-day closure of the northbound span of the I-5 Interstate Bridge is set to begin Saturday and run Sept. 12-20, when crews will replace mechanical parts that help lift and lower the bridge. According to information from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), crews will begin on Saturday the work to move northbound traffic onto the southbound span of the bridge and install the zipper barrier.     Wahkiakum County Port 1 held a rate and budget workshop on Tuesday afternoon to go over proposed changes and discuss possible policies regarding cancellations. The biggest proposed change was for the barbecue RV sites, which were $395 per month this year, but could go up to $650.
