  • Last days of fiber arts display

    Kay Chamberlain, Wah. Co. Eagle|Aug 28, 2013

GRAY--We began this week with a little grayer weather and a couple of light sprinkles. However, by the time the work week began, we may have started dry and sunny but my mid-afternoon, it got pretty doggone wet out here in West Valley. Good for the plants and the fire danger, but not so great for those outdoor chores, like putting on a new roof or tending to ones' garden. It sounds like we've got a mixed bag of weather coming this week, with some sun, some clouds and some showers, so if you've got some dry time, you'd best be taking advantage...

  • WDFw seeks comment on Cathlamet plan

    Columbia Basin Bulletin|Aug 28, 2013

    Rick Nelson, Wah. Co. Eagle|Aug 28, 2013

Colorado resident Robert McKendry III, the announcer for the Cathlamet Downhill Corral, has repeated himself the past two years: The event has made Cathlamet a destination in the skateboard world, he has told the crowd. The competitors brought families, and they filled the town's streets and businesses for several days. Even though there are cash prizes for the events,...

  • School starts September 3, 8:15 a.m.

    Trudy Fredrickson, Wah. Co. Eagle|Aug 28, 2013

Our trip to California was wonderful, lots of visiting with old friends, a soccer tournament for our grandson (the team took 3rd place), and lots of hugs and fun time with family. The weather wasn’t too bad, only in the high 80s and low 90s. You can have the noise of the city though and the awful traffic, it was good to come home. News from Naselle: Well, it’s that time again, the last big weekend before the new school year begins on Tuesday, the 3rd at 8:15 a.m. for students of the Naselle-Grays River Valley School District. Let’s go Comet...
