    Community Home Health & Hospice’s Camp Cedars, a 3-day, residential camp for children who have experienced the death of a family member or close friend, is scheduled for August 23-25.     The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) will close the Beaver Creek public fishing access on the Elochoman River in Wahkiakum County Aug. 7-14. The site will be closed to ensure public safety during construction work to remodel the Beaver Creek Hatchery intake. Contractors will use the water access area for staging.     The Cathlamet Town Council will hold a special meeting next Wednesday, 2 p.m., in the River Street Meeting Room to continue a strategic planning process.     The Wooden Boat Show had something for everybody this year. "The show was great," Allen Bennett, one of the organizers, said. "We had many more boat exhibitors this year than in the recent past. We filled both B and C docks with beautiful boats.
