    CLOUDY--As this work week begins, it's pretty cloudy in the morning, but the cloudiness is not supposed to mean any rain. This past weekend we either had fog or morning clouds, so it was good "working weather" in the early hours and then it was time to enjoy the sunshine when it came out around 11 or so; worked out great, I thought, and the temperatures were pretty toasty by late afternoon.     Michael Douglas Brennan, 63, of Cathlamet died July 24 at home. He was born July 19, 1947, in Huntington Park, Calif. to Katie and Joseph J. Brennan. He graduated from Bell Gardens High School and served in the Air Force from 1966-1970. On September 6, 1969 he married Gerry Gessner. She survives him at home after 40 years of marriage. He and Gerry moved to Cathlamet in 1973 where he worked at Durrah and Martin logging company. He worked for the Wahkiakum County PUD for 30 years, and retired in August of 2008. After graduating from Mark Morris High School, Deby lived in Long Beach, Cathlamet and Bonney Lake.     The Wahkiakum School District board of directors met last Wednesday and approved budgets for the 2010-11 school year. Mike Quigley, vice-chair, called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. No members of the public were in attendance.
