    Looking for something to dress up the landscape in your yard? On June 23 from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m., WSU Master Gardener Tracey Morgan will explain how to construct an arbor and tips to consider during construction.   • Summer lunch program now underway

    The summer lunch program, Outdoor Cafe 2020, got underway on Wednesday in the Cathlamet area and will be available in the Westend beginning June 22. The program provides free meals to local families who have kids 18 and under in their households. Meals will be available for pickup or delivery on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until August 28. Each lunch bag will contain two meals for the day. Pickup is available at J.A. Wendt Elementary between 10:30-11:30 a.m., and at Rosburg Hall between 11:15 a.m.- noon.     While the number of covid-19 cases are bouncing in neighboring counties, Wahkiakum County’s positive count remains at four, with 172 tests conducted. In Pacific County, the number of positive cases has risen to 12, while Cowlitz County added 29 this last week to reach 118. Across the river in Columbia County the number of positive cases has risen to 22, and in Clatsop County they’ve reached 46. Yakima County currently has the highest rate of the disease in the state, at 700 positive cases per...
