    June 14, 2007 Wahkiakum County commissioners are looking for advice and analysis for operating the Wahkiakum Family Practice Clinic. The county acquired the clinic from PeaceHealth 2.5 years ago when that organization planned to close it. Commissioners expected to have to subsidize the clinic, but the deficit has been much higher than anticipated and is projected at $250,000 this year.     June 14, 2007 Members of the Wahkiakum County Weed Control Board will hold a special meeting today (Thursday) to consider ways to adjust their programs and reduce their budget.     June 14, 2007 Washington State Family Policy Council (FPC) recently celebrated significant successes across the state among its 39 Community Public Health and Safety Networks, which include the Wahkiakum County Community Network. The local network in Wahkiakum County won the Family Policy Council's Exceptional Results Award for attaining its 10 year goal of reducing teen alcohol consumption within eight years.     June 14, 2007 Wahkiakum County Search and Rescue located Friday a Longview man who fell off a cliff at County Line Park Thursday and spent the night lying injured. The man, Michael Mansker, 44, Longview, was flown by US Coach Guard helicopter to Oregon Health Science University Hospital where he was being treated for head injuries and fractures in his back, pelvis and ankle.     June 14, 2007 Wahkiakum County will receive state and federal funding to cover the cost of a temporary ramp during the reconstruction of the Puget Island ferry ramp. Public Works Director Pete Ringen reported Tuesday that the state Department of Transportation on June 6 approved a $1.47 million allocation to the project, which will cover the cost of a temporary ramp.
