He is much more interested in quality and doesn’t take a lot of shots. “I’ll take a picture of anythi...

Shana Batdorf investigated whether density affects how fast a liquid will flow. She hypothesized that the less dense a liquid was, the faster it would flow. She tested her hypothesis by pouring different fluids in a cup with a hole and timing how long it took for the liquid to drain. “I found a flaw in my experiment when some...

    Jun 11, 2014

To The Eagle: This is intended for the people and voters of Wahkiakum County. I am a lifelong member and supporter of law enforcement, the Republican Party, the US Constitution, and especially the right of citizens to have differing views. During the meeting the commissioner listened but said nothing except that he wanted more people to come to the weekly commission meetings. The meeting...

    Jun 11, 2014

To The Eagle: I just wanted to say what a wonderful response it was for the Self Help Housing meeting held on May 29 at the River Street Meeting Room. There were approximately 30 people in attendance and lots of people taking applications. This is such a great opportunity for our community to take part in such a worthwhile program. Juanita and Greg from Lower Columbia CAP did a great job of addressing a number of topics and questions. This included credit, income, who can put in time building and how much building is needed. They also...

  • Reader grateful for opportunity to disagree

    Jun 11, 2014

To The Eagle: I have neglected for years to thank the publishers and staff of The Eagle. Sadly, I take it for granted that my paper will arrive on Thursday and I shouldn’t. None of us should take The Eagle for granted when printed news is threatened and small papers around the country are failing daily. I wish to thank The Eagle for their generations of continual dedication to our community. I am grateful for the clarity we find in our newspaper when reading The Eagle. As a reader I feel as though I am a participant in the ongoing issues c...

    Jun 11, 2014

To The Eagle: Stop the school shootings now. Legislation can fund all the cameras, and bullet proof glass or even have staff trained with pistols. Lee Tischer, Puget Island...

    Trudy Fredrickson, Wah. Co. Eagle|Jun 11, 2014

Last weekend, it seemed like all the old cars in the whole area were driving down SR 4. What a wonderful sight, seeing all the cars and bringing back lots of old memories for many of us. I hear that the Car Show in Skamokawa was once again a huge success. I was happy to finally get a chance to mow the lawn again after all the moisture we had been getting. It was almost time to decide whether to bring cows into the yard to graze or to make hay. Once it starts growing in the spring, there’s no stopping it. News from Naselle: Naselle high s...
