Filing for positions on the 2011 election ballots closed Friday with only one contested position on the ballot. Lori Scott is challenging incumbent Carlton Appelo for the seat on the Port District 2 board of commissioners that he's held since the district was formed. For the four positions that didn't have candidates, a special filing period will be held June 15-17 in the Wahkiakum County Auditor's office.
