    Lower Columbia College’s 81st annual Commencement will take place on Friday, June 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Kelso High School’s Schroeder Field. This year’s Commencement speaker is Bill Stoller, Founder and CEO of Xenium. Stoller is also the founder and vice chairman of Express Employment Professionals. As president and founder of The Stoller Group, he owns 24 Express offices in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and California.     The hounds are running again this weekend at Misty Rivers Plantation, 117 Cross Dike Road on Puget Island. The Willamette Valley Basenji Club is sponsoring two AKC Sight Hound lure coursing events on Saturday and Sunday June 10-11. Only AKC registered sight hounds may enter, but all dogs are invited to attend as spectators if accompanied by a well-leashed, well behaved owner.     The Wahkiakum 4-H Robotics Club competed in its last competition of the school year on June 1. The competitions were held at Hayes freedom high School in Camas. The team was represented in all four events: line followers, dragsters, sumo bots and a new event: dance party, which is synchronized robots to music.     For the second time in two weeks, the estimated size of the Columbia River’s spring chinook run has been changed. Just three weeks ago, the runs size forecast was downgraded by the U.S. v Oregon Technical Advisory Committee from its initial forecast of 160,800 fish to just 83,000. On May 30, the forecast was back up to 118,000 fish, according to an announcement by the U.S. v Oregon Technical Management Committee.     After the Wahkiakum Mules took third place in 2B State baseball, Hank Ferguson returned to Wheeler Field in Centralia on June 1 to play in the 40th annual Senior All Star Baseball game.     While major hunting seasons are closed in summer, hunter education courses continue to run year-round throughout the state.     The start of a three-day opening for a sport sturgeon fishery resulted in traffic chaos on Oneida Road, area residents told the county board of commissioners Tuesday.     Each year, thousands of Washingtonians go fishing – legally – without a license on "Free Fishing Weekend," scheduled for June 10-11. During those two days, no license will be required to fish or gather shellfish in any waters open to fishing in Washington state.
