    The Friends of Skamokawa will exhibit the watercolor artwork of artist Stan Riedesel in their “Water Colors” Exhibit from May 12 through July 2. There will be a reception and demonstration with the artist on May 13 from 12 to 4 p.m. All proceeds help to maintain property and provide programs and services for the community through the FOS/River Life Interpretive Center.     The Wahkiakum Mules track team joined 10 other teams at the Central 2B League Championship in Kalama on Friday, May 12. The Mules took ninth place in boys competition with 20 points, but did not place in girls competition. Landon Nielsen, a senior on the team, was the only qualifier for the District 4 Championship, which takes place at W.F. West in Chehalis on Friday, May 19.     By Diana Zimmerman The Naselle Comets are headed to the opening round of the State 1B baseball tournament, while the softball team is still finishing up the district tournament this week. After losing a 1B District 4 game 4-3 to Mossyrock on May 11, the Comets had to win a 1B District 1/2/4 crossover game on May 13 to continue their season.     The Wahkiakum Mules softball team played their final two games of the season last week. They traveled to Ilwaco on Tuesday, where they lost 27-0, and to Onalaska on Wednesday, where they lost 20-1.
