There were more losses for the young Wahkiakum Mules softball team this week as their season came to a close. They hosted Toutle Lake on Friday and lost 20-2, according to Coach Garrett Miller. “Rylie Wills went two for two with a run scored,” he said, “while Evelynn Miller, Evelyn Hogue, and Zoe Dorian added hits.” The Mules traveled to Ilwaco on Tuesday and Onalaska on Wednesday for their final games of the season. Wahkiakum High School baseball and softball players were recently honored by Central 2B League coaches and selected to join all league teams for their athleticism this season. The Naselle High School baseball team advanced in the District 4 1B tournament with a 7-0 win on Monday. If they beat Mossyrock on Thursday, they will advance to the State 1B tournament. If they lose, they will have a crossover game in the District 1/2/4 1B tournament on May 13, which they will have to win to continue their season at the state tournament.
