    The 34th annual Great White Tail Run is Saturday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m., in Skamokawa. This event, sponsored by Wahkiakum 4-H, features a 10K, 5K and 2 mile course along the Julia Butler Hansen National Refuge. Award recognition is given for overall male and female winners in each event, with ribbons for the top three finishers in each age division.     The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is inviting people to share their views at four upcoming meetings in Ridgefield on a draft assessment of a state policy that guides the management of salmon fisheries in the lower Columbia River.     One by one, the Wahkiakum Mules golf team continues to recover from a recent automobile accident, when their vehicle, waiting at a temporary light on SR 4, was struck from behind by a driver traveling full speed. Heidi Bruntmyer was medically cleared to play by April 26, when she competed in an 18 hole, modified Stableford system in Astoria. Their win on Tuesday secured a spot in regional games the following week. In the opening round of district play on Saturday, the Mules beat Toutle Lake 10-4.
