    The Wahkiakum Mules baseball team learned all about second chances this week and made the most of an all out two game battle on Tuesday to clinch the remaining berth to the district tournament.     Wahkiakum Health and Human Services is reporting three new cases this week, bringing the county's official cumulative total to 313, with three cases considered active. According to the Washington Department of Health, 30 covid-19 cases in the county required a hospital stay since the pandemic began, and seven local residents have died from the virus.   • Log truck accident

    A Jerry DeBriae Logging Company log truck lost its load Tuesday after evading an oncoming vehicle that was over the center line on SR 4 just west of Rosburg. According to the Washington State Patrol, the log truck was headed west while a small, black sports car was headed east. The black car headed into middle of road, so the truck driver tried to move his truck into the narrow shoulder area to avoid hitting the car.
