    Tidy Up the Town, sponsored by Pioneer Community Association, will take place on Saturday morning, April 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. Please join us at the Community Center at 9 a.m., and bring your work gloves, shovels, rakes, hoes and wheelbarrows! We will work on weeding and cleaning up the sidewalks and flower beds around the Library/Community Center and the Waterfront Trail from the stairs at the point to the bridge.     Photos courtesy of Todd Wilson The Wahkiakum Mules baseball team continued to dominate the Central 2B League winning two more double headers this week. The Mules are 14-0 in league, 14-1 overall. Last Wednesday in Kalama, the Mules won the opening game 2-0. James Anderson pitched all seven innings, facing 24 batters. He struck out 10, walked three and allowed two hits and no runs.     If I wanted a lesson in perseverance and courage, I wouldn't have to look any farther than the Wahkiakum Mules softball team. Despite six more losses this week and a 0-12 record, these athletes keep showing up for practices, they keep showing up for games. They may be young but they are already learning one of life's harder lessons. I, for one, am impressed and hopeful about the coming years for Wahkiakum softball.
